Who offers the best exchange rate when sending money abroad from the Uk to China? My bank have just given me a 1.51 exchange rate from stirling to usd. In order to send $5010 it has cost me $5718usd, does anyone know a cheaper way of sending (not western union)

Thats a rubbish exchange rate and typical of the banks. Try comparing with another bank and then check, its cheaper than using the bank but call and check first.
I have used them several times and they seem to offer better exchange rates when converting sterling to euro and us dollars

The banks as their rates are awful your best bet is to use specialist currency broker.
