Should I exchange my money before I go to Mexico, or when I’m there?

I’m going on a cruise to Mexico. I’ve never been there before and was wondering if I should exchange my money here before I go, or if there was an easily accessible place to do it at. I’m visiting Ensenada and Catalina Island. I was also wondering if they support Visa.

Visa is accepted everywhere. You have seen the commercials haven’t you? Your best exchange rates will be found at a money exchange (casa de cambio) in Mexico. Whenever possible pay in pesos because you usually end up loosing money if you pay in dollars.
