Riley asked:

So I am going home to see my family for Xmas in the UK and I just wanted to know if it would be better for me to exchange my US$ for British pounds or should I just use my debit card to withdraw cash as I need it when I am there? Whats better? Any advice/opinions? Thanks

Riley, that depends on how your bank deals with currency. If they use the exchange rate for the day they process your transaction, you’ll probably be fine using the debit.

You might want to get yourself some pocket cash, though. You don’t want to be using a debit card to buy gum.

For me there is usually an exchange agent at the airport but sometimes the airport but sometimes the bank when you arrive in.
For me there is ok but sometimes the local foreign bank when you arrive in new country works best for me there is ok but their fees are typically higher than the machines can be difficult use mastercard and be safe.
