Allie asked: I’ve been searching around for a place to exchange the Canadian money a friend gave me, normally I’d keep it, but I am struggling with my finances at the moment and decided I need to exchange it so I can try and have enough money for needs. I’ve tried some random banks, and there was only one that said they could exchange it if I didn’t have an account there but it would cost 10 dollars, then the exchange rates. Which makes it practically not worth doing. Should I just make an account there so I can dodge some of the fees and then cancel it, or is there another place I can use to exchange the money? Does a Travelex Foreign Currency Exchange booth take a lot of your money? I’ve been to all of the banks in my area yet I haven’t been able to find anyone except TD, I’m going to be taking a flight in several days and was wondering if perhaps it’d be best to exchange it at the Travelex booth, does anyone know if they charge fees? I know they have a crummy exchange rate usually, but if they don’t charge as much fees it might be the better choice, so someone’s input would be great.
